Neuropathy with numbness
This morning I was constipated, and I sat on the toilet for too long and my feet got numb. I walked up and down the hall with my walker several times and that kind of helped. Then I sat in my chair with the heating pad on for about an hour, and that helped a little my feet were numb from the balls of my feet to my toes. Pain? I guess I’ve just gotten used to it. I took gabapentin for about a year, but it didn’t do any good at all so I quit. I don’t know what to do so I’m asking you because you guys are where I get my best information. Anybody out there have any suggestions?

The best way to sit on a toilet bowl is with a footstep under you feet it is actually the best way for elimination and constipation. Less stress and your feet don’t get numb. I have a plastic folding one so that it can be moved away.

I have neuropathy in my feet and calves after extensive back surgery. I am 9 months out and I’m not sure if this numbness will ever go away. I take Lyrica and a muscle relaxer every 8 hours for back pain. Compression socks help but are difficult to get on and off. I wish us all luck in finding relief from neuropathy.

2 Reactions@rutica I’ve found some relief with laser treatment and nerve plate. Google the Nerve plate. Google Dr Kelly Richmond Hill Ga for his treatment plan. I’ve gone from 35% to 3% sensory loss. Hope this helps

Thanks for the info. Will check it.
I have taken tramacet (Tramadol with acetominaphen) for many years for cervical stenosis and it has been very beneficial. It also calms my severe calf and foot neurapathy but I have to take three or four pills a day.
The neurapathy is getting worse and I have to urinate at night about once every three hours.
I have an Amazon foot massager that I use occasionally and I also have a red-light therapy lamp (?)my neuralogist recommends pregabalin in quite large doses and if I take it before bedtime I get a good night's sleep but I am very groggy in the morning.
Can you comment on magnesium glycinate and colexolib.. ?
@alicewino suggest try Ducolax
