Chronic Pain, alternative Treatment

Posted by CiPaul @cipaul, Jul 11, 2017

I have had chronic pain for 17 years. I know what I'm going to say will be met with doubt, but please try what I say, even though it is not completely backed up by sceince. I was on heavy doses of OPIOIDS for 16 years with no help, relieveing my pain, then I started to take Kratom, for the last year I have been Pain Free!!! If you try it , you will have to try different strains, to find out what works best for you

Jennifer, you must go online, & search for Kratom, when you do, put in your search, " effects & side effects Kratom, that should give you what all strains do!!! Then you can see which one would be better to try!! Also I take 6-8 capsules with 8oz of water every 4-6 hours, Please let me know how you make out!!

The purpose of using Kratom, is to get off of Opioids, Suboxone is in the same class, as Opioids!!

I tried Suboxone, you name it I think my doctors and tried it. It does stop pain, but it's addictive just like opiates. They actually will use it to get you off opiates. They trade one for the other and then taper down the Suboxone. Then the doctor wanted me to stay on Suboxone forever to deal with the pain. The problem is, one form of it (I think it's Suboxone) as a blocker in it, or it adheres more strongly to your pain receptors. If you were to be taking it for pain and you had a car accident or needed the surgery, normal pain medication would be ineffective. I didn't want to leave myself in that vulnerable position.

Jennifer @jenapower Instead of posting where he @cipaul obtains his Kratom I would recommend using Connect's direct message feature. To do so click on the members username to see his profile. From there there is an envelope icon Send Private Message.

Got it, too bad because I think there's other people that would like the information. I doubt he wants a whole ton of people emailing him. I can do that though.

JUst a comment/? I too have chronic pain and take opiods and constantly hear about the excessive use of them and they take them to get high. I can say I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN A "HIGH" just less pain. They must really have to take A LOT.

Allison snow. Marield65 here. I also take opioids (Vicodin) and never got high. I never heard about getting a high on Vicodin until I connected to this group. They do help my pain but I don't like taking them but I am going to leave well enough alone. But thanks for another great idea. Marie
