What sleep meds help you stay asleep?

A bout of Covid in 2021 triggered many health issues for me, including severe insomnia and fibromyalgia. I wanted to share what helped me immensely with both conditions: LDN low-dose naltrexone. My fibro pain went away and my insomnia went away.

I encourage anyone who suffers from insomnia to try this medication. It's safe and had no bad side effects for me, except for vivid dreams (not nightmares tho). Drawbacks are that you must get your prescription filled at a compounding pharmacy, it's not covered by insurance, and it takes a few months to work up to the maintenance dose (usually 4.5mg) and then can take a couple months to notice benefits. Also, I read that it doesn't benefit everyone.

Here is one article about it now naltrexone can help with sleep: https://neurolaunch.com/naltrexone-and-sleep/

Thank you for your post and the link to Neurolaunch. I found that website quite some time ago and I find their unbiased reviews/research to be helpful. Can you tell me if you experienced any worsening insomnia in the beginning few weeks of treatment as was mentioned in the article? Since it is not covered by insurance, what is the average monthly cost? (I know that might be affected by the dose but I want to get a general idea). Did your family doctor prescribe it or did you have to find someone more knowledgeable- ie a therapist? How long had you been experiencing insomnia before you found LDN?
