Are you on Evenity despite no history of bone fracture?
66-year old female with no bone fracture history but with high risk of fracture DEXA-scan score. Doc has recommended Evenity. Wondering if there are others who are in a similar situation of no bone history and are taking Evenity. If so, have you experienced any side-effects? And after 12-months, did you stop meds or transition to other meds? Thank you

Here is a link to a recent study indicating a shorter period of Evenity with transition to Prolia (Denumab) vs. 12-month Evenity, in case this is of interest: https://www.thelancet.com/journals/landia/article/PIIS2213-8587(25)00323-7/fulltext

2 ReactionsI am on Evenity, recommended by my Mayo endocrinologist. My Dexa scan was 2.8 for lumbar spine, no history of fractures but my mom had terrible compression fractures. The rational is to build bone and then transition to bifosphonates (reclast). I am having daily mild headaches that I wonder if it is Evenity side effect. Also wondering if Evenity was « overkill », but some studies show that this order of treatment is more effective..,
