Thank you for taking the time to reply while you were on a cruise. May I ask how old ? Also, how long have you been using the valve I saw my urologist yesterday and he’s gonna let me try using the catheter valve. The next time I go have my catheter changed in four weeks. This is all very new to me. Can you give me any for suggestions? Things that I should be aware of it before I start. Had a catheter right now in me for a number of months so I’m used to having something in my penis. That is become like a part of my life. It’s just hard for me to think that it’s gonna be a part of my life for the rest of my life. But we always do not know what lies ahead for us. And again, I thank you for your replying again. Enjoy the rest of your vacation.

@2will2 I am 82 years old in August, but still quite active. I go to the gym, walk the dog, a couple miles every other day, travel. etc.
I have been using a valve for most of the last three years. I change the valve every month and have the catheter changed once every three months. No UTI so far. A nuisance. but a lot of people are a lot worse off.
