..oh the original post five years ago, sorry but I do get mixed up with old and current. I am on a type of Latanoprost called Monoprost.. the Monoprost has no preservative.. am not sure if any of the previous posts deal with reactions to the Preservatives? These are not without some reaction but not as bad as above... as also have dry eyes - so the glaucoma squeezes out the moisture at night and the dry eye drops put it back in I suppose. I was fortunate was referred to top dr at a hospital in Toronto, a four hour plus drive, but he was great: ordred mri and cat scan etc. and discovered small nerve damage left eye. Where I live the optom hadnt discovered, sent me to a "specialist"where I live, waited 4 months... he just checked my eye with a puffer, gave me a prescriptions for Lumigen with 20 repeats and told me to come back in six months! Thankfully anotehr Dr. referred me to the Eye Dept. at the Toronto hospital. I have many illnesses but like everyone, scared of losing my vision. On Internet there is a list of every Glaucoma med/eye drops and the side effects..... may be worth checking if you can. One of them he didnt recommend as I have a history of depression but i forget which one... Even so, I would like to change these drops as sometimes eyes a bit red etc. but seems every one has a side effect. Once the pharmacist said dont worry they go in your eyes not your body: which is not true. They have to enter our bodies!

@lacy2 I found out that I have Ocular Surface Disease from taking so many drops over 20+ years. My ophthalmologist never mentioned this and I have read that it's common in Glaucoma patients.
