Hi @brendamarlene The Aranesp you’re receiving is used to increase your red blood cells. With MDS, sometimes the bone marrow isn’t able to keep up with blood cell productions. Most often it involves the red blood cells. In that case, it’s not unusual to experience anemia. So medications like Aranesp help the body to produce more red blood cells.
