@janemc hehe. We need to have a 😂 emoji added to our reactions. Thanks for posting a little humor for @nohrt4me this morning.
But you’re right, both you and Jean are so knowledgable about ET and it’s frustrating when having to explain it over and over to doctors who aren’t aware of this blood condition. Or the frustration in general of being a woman in a doctor’s office trying to be heard! I’ve been on the receiving end of that type of treatment as well.

But, we didn’t become ‘women of age’ without learning a few things about getting attention. LOL. So I’m pretty confident Jean will dig her heals in and hold to her convictions! If not, I’ll grab you in my teleportation and we’ll talk some sense into her doctor. 😂

@loribmt I don't think I would mind explaining it umpteen times to different docs if they paid attention. Had coffee Thurs with a friend who is in charge of her sister's care with many docs involved. She also noted the "silo effect" of specialists who fail to adjust treatment plans around other pre-existings. Hopefully the surgeon will pay better attention.

And I'm kinda glad my platelets were extra high on the labs they ordered so they can see that, oh, hey, somethin's up with this lady's platelets, maybe we better check it out.

Meantime, thanks for the support. I am enjoying my Graham Greene book and the cats like their extra attention. This is Frannie, my son's cat who is staying with us, possibly permanently. She has a little beauty mark like Honey West from the old TV show.
