Anyone had ear problems after Reclast?

Hi,
I took one infusion of Reclast 6 months ago and I am still having ear side effects. I have Ménière’s Disease in my right ear and was very concerned about side effects since it does mention ear congestion as one of many side effects. my doctor said it would not affect my ear. I followed the instructions before and after the infusion. After 5 days I started to hear low voices in my right ear 24/7 for three weeks. It’s called auditory hallucinations. Finally stopped, but now I have hyperacusis in my right ear and tinnitus in my left ear, which was normal. If you have any kind of ear problems do not take Reclast.

I wanted anyone who’s interested here that, fortunately, my sudden hearing loss that occurred immediately after Reclast infusion stabilized but the tinnitus is with me apparently for life. So I’ll never come near any bone- strengthening infusion medication again!
But just recently, I began hormone replacement using Combipatch and am tolerating it extremely well. In fact, after years of overheating far too easily, that changed instantly.

I am 77 years old, so am willing to be something of a guinea pig here, given that there’s really no data for women over 65 on low dose HRT, including the effects on bone loss. There’s a theoretical concern about breast and uterine cancer. But I have no family history of either and am getting annual mammograms and gynecology checkups. So I’m willing to take my chances in lieu of potential protection against loss of bone density.

Does anyone know about clinical trials that I might qualify for?

I have had tinnitus for years. I recently had my first Reclast infusion after putting it off for years!! Fortunately, it had no effect on my tinnitus!
