You must first get a blood test. In order to qualify for Dupixent, you must have raised blood eosinophils.

I was thinking that eosinophils, neutrophils, and basophils were all the same type of white blood cells. Now I see that they are different. Thanks for that.

@mrmover Not entirely must you have elevated eosinophils, there is also consideration on the treatment that you have been on for exacerbation and been on steroids. Ask your physician if you have any questions about whether you meet the criteria. I did no have elevated eosinophils and have been on dupixent for several years.

@mrmover I was breathless just walking around my house , talked with my doctor and told him I need to try something new, I’m on breztri, ohtuvayre, albuterol and still out of breath so he had a lot of blood test done and because I had a lot of white blood cells which cause inflammation I qualified to go on Nacala, same as dupixen both were said good for COPD , had a injection 3 1/2 weeks ago and i actually can walk around my house not being out of breath. It took a while for my insurance to cover it but finally did
