I had the robotic lobectomy surgery on March 3rd 2026. I’m 73 years old, at the time of the surgery I was stage 2b with no lymph nodes involvement. My Oncologist suggested that I should continue to one more year of immunotherapy once a months. Is there anyone can help me to make a decision or have to do the treatment for one more year? Thanks!

@paupau52 congratulations on getting through your surgery, it’s always elating to be over the worst and start moving forward with your healing process…you mentioned that staging was 2b with no lymph nodes involved, this is very positive news for you, the issue of continuing immunotherapy therapy suggested by your doctor is a tough decision and I understand how you feel, it’s truly difficult for anyone to advise you on your decision other than the doctor and your own heart. I’ve had two surgeries, first one a lobectomy and the second one was a wedge, in both cases I didn’t require further treatment, I know that as much as I want to survive as long as possible I won’t have any chemo for treatment because I’m almost 75 and I don’t feel that I will survive the treatment, perhaps I would try radiation therapy but that’s all, I pray that I don’t have to deal with anything but I know that it’s in God’s hands.
