@karen00 Are you able to speak with your landlord to see if anything can be worked out? Even though your brother's and your finances are separate, there may be a program that considers the household income, which is the both of you. You might check with your county's housing agency. Having someone who can temporarily foster your dog may help. We're here for you!

@gingerw Hi Ginger! Your idea about us using my income is a good one, but my brother has already signed the lease. I have a social worker who has checked into low income housing and for that, we cannot be counted together. You won’t believe this but the wait is FOUR YEARS! I am trying to find a place for Kelly but all the fostering places I’ve come upon only take the dogs from shelters. I might have 1 friend that will do it. Thanks for caring Ginger! Your compassion shines through.
I think you were the 1 who was helping me with this- every time I try to reply to someone, I have to re-sign in. It’s time consuming! Help.......Karen
