@witzend, have you had the chance to speak to your primary care doctor about this device and what he or she might suggest? If so, what did they say?

My wife had the Nevro (can't remember model) about 3 years ago. It worked for a while and then it faded. The most important thing I found was to get good reps as they will be the ones who figure out adjustments. The Dr. pretty much takes the money and runs. It does get to be a pain charging and programming.

They do seem to slowly have less effect with time from what I have seen.
She had quit using hers and had it taken out after the next fusion.

The things I learned are this is a very profitable surgery. Pain Dr.'s push it even if the application isn't right. When you do the initial tesing it only lasts like a week I think they turn the thing way up to better your chance of a positive trial, unfortunately you can't leave it at that level after you get it in.

The implant surgery was more painful then what was described as was the explant.

Definately interview a few different Dr.'s
