@bobrogers the procedure is very safe.
I had an ablation and watchman put over 3 weeks ago I am going through the Blanking Period. Make sure you ask about this medication plus second option. You might stay over night. I was fine after procedure. Blessings take care

@bobrogers i also have AFIB, and i honestly I think mine is caused by having severe COPD, stress and anxiety. I am terrified of getting worse. I am eighty years old and I am scared of death. I live alone and was just put on oxygen. I do my own shopping, house cleaning, laundry, etc. etc. and my breathing seems to get worse every month now. I was asked to take part with a group of people who had COPD and their "care givers". My doctor was doing some kind of study. However, when I mentioned that I had no care giver or help, his secretary said that because I was alone, I could not take part in their study. Only people who had a "care giver" could participate. Isn't that hilarious? Hereis another joke - I have actually been told how healthy I look. In the last ten years I have had a bowel resection (ostomy) breast cancer, osteoprosis, and AMD. IT IS ONE THING AFTER ANOTHER - I want to die, but I also want to live. Sorry for babbling.

I posted an update, on how I was so anxious, with a-fib, and was afraid I’d have a stroke - but I guess you didn’t see my update, which, I guess, was maybe posted under a-fin, but not anxiety! Anyway, like you, I went ahead with the ‘Watchman’ implant, which was performed last month! This coming Monday, I will go for the check-up! In my case, what prompted a hasty way forward to implant ‘The Watchman”, was that I had an MRI taken, where it was determined I had suffered 2 strokes, one very recently, that made me incontinent, and made my walking and balance problems, much worse!! So, that’s the update!
