Hi, I go hiking with my husband in the state park near us. Sometimes we go after supper.
My motivation is a water exercise class. It starts at 8 a.m. (yes really 8 a.m.) at a nearby YMCA. I thought that I would never get used to getting up that early, but I find I wake up at 6 a.m. because I feel so ready for it! It is one of those easy classes where we do more stretching and range of motion exercises rather than aerobic. The instructor is an RN and everyone in the class is about the same age. It is a therapeutic pool (another way of saying "nice warm water") so it feels really good and the warm water helps the old stiff joints to move easily. We all say that this is the one place where our knees don't make a cracking sound when we move them!
@rosemarya This is a great idea. I wish I could join you, but at this time my life is so out of control that I can't get motivated for anything. I have tried to think of something, but I can't do anything but worry and be upset. I look at the calendar and think maybe by August things will stabilize and I can get myself in check. I would give anything to be in control but now, I am just a wreck.
Good luck to all re-activating, and I hope I'll be able to join you in several months.

@christinelouise, I want to invite you to meet others who are encouraging and supporting each other. Would you be interested to join us? I am interested in learning what you found successful for yourself over the past 10 weeks that helped you to achieve weight loss success.

@rosemarya what keeps me going is that doing yoga or walking is my "me time" every day! I truly look forward to it.
