Kevzara or Methotrexate
Hi folks I have been on Kevzara since March and after 12 shots I started feeling better (not ever 100%) but better was short lived so Md suggested I try Methotrexate Sept 15 and I see no difference maybe worse. I read someone got a covid shot snd had a relapse. I just got both flu and covid shots two weeks apart. Wondering if it affected me??! I am able to get out of bed and get dressed so I guess I shouldn’t bellyache but I am 2years into this and tired of it!! Thanks for listening❤️

@jds2123 PS: the migratory arthritis did go away as I worked thru the “PMR journey”. At this point, months afterwards, still pain free.

Thank you for the info.
@76ttop That is how it works on Medicare for me as well. Kevzara is covered; I have supplemental insurance; I have the out of pocket max, which for me is $2500. I got on a payment plan, which makes it do-able.
@76ttop also, Kevzara has on their website ways to help pay.
Thank you
I have been on 20mg methotrexate (MTZ), folic acid and prednisone (20mg to start) for 3 years . Tapered pred to 2mg in the last 2 months. Had a little relapse and went back up to 5mg fir a short time. Then started slowly tapering again. MTZ has been very positive for me. No side effects with liver, but hope that eventually I can be off both meds completely. The process can be frustrating for sure. Fatigue is my new normal these days though.
