Has anyone else discovered that lettuce is excellent for acid reflux?

Posted by hsroka15 @hsroka15, 1 day ago

I have had stomach acid and stomach problems for 16 years and have been diagnosed with the following:! Gerd, reflux, hiatal hernia, and ulcers.

I have recently discovered that eating lettuce is the most helpful thing I can eat to get rid of my acidic stomach symptoms. Has anyone else had luck with lettuce??

I find green leaf lettuce - the soft kind you can tear with your hands easily - very kind to my stomach

@snoots a lot of reflux and pain in the stomach area. Right now as a I type, I can refer to having pain in a very specific and small area of my stomach. I believe I have another ulcer. I am looking into fasting because I am tired of doctors throwing medicine at me. Are they scoping you to try and rule out H. Pylori?

@pb50 agree about soft lettuce, some of which I get at the farmers’ market…having had CRC, I notice the difference.

@hsroka15 check out your stomach pain…many things cause it, quite common…if your bowel habits change, that’s definitely telling you to get checked…meanwhile, go gentle on diet, especially alcohol and caffeine ! Avoid smoking.
