My dietitian had me stop probiotics except for S. Boulardi while I was being treated for SIBO. She told me other probiotics can actually be food for the overgrowth of bacteria making it worse. Also recommended was to follow the FODMAP diet.

@choosejoy this is so interesting. I have been on Florajen recommended by my Dr. I looked up Florajen and it did mention that certain strains could contribute to making SIBO symptoms worse. I stopped taking it 10 days ago because the pharmacist suggested Florastor because of the s. Boulardi.
