Where is everyone from and what treatment works for you?
Hi! My name is Beverly and live in Jax Florida. Where is everyone from? And is anyone here found a treatment plan for fibromyalgia that works with you? Thank you!

I’m from Iowa and I’ve been doing gentle movements daily like Tai Chi or just moving how my body wants to move. I also do daily easy exercises from Mayo. I sometimes will meditate just to put my mind in a better place. I had several months with Lin Health and they told me to find 1 thing daily to be grateful for-that also puts my mind in a better place. If I start to feel tightness or pain, I stop and ask myself what is triggering this. Then I acknowledge it and tell myself it’s not serving me so just let it go. This stuff has all been helpful for me.
@hraka13 family and friends who understand your difficulties are such a support! Keep positive and celebrate even the small things you accomplish. Best of luck with your journey

1 ReactionIm from San Francisco, California. Was diagnosed about 18 years ago. Have taken myself off the Cymbalta (awful withdrawal), ongoing long term mental side effects and also got off gabapentin (memory problems). Was taking LDN for almost 6 months and haven’t seen much change. Couldn’t get back on doctor’s website to order more so gave up. Anyone know where I can order some? Using heating pad (my first go to but relief is temporary), or ice. Not so often Advil or muscle relaxant. I’ve ordered some CBD/hemp gummies and will see how it goes. I also go to a chiropractor and also provides a break from the pain. Just managing but grateful pain not as bad as when I first got sick. I’m tired. Hoping and praying something will work to at least get some more added relief occasionally instead of ongoing chronic pain.
@coryl when I was navigating through specialist after specialist looking for a diagnosis and treatment I was referred to an older male rheumatologist. This was about 18 years ago. He told me that what was wrong with me was called, in his day “the hysterics” and gave impression this was a woman thing. I left there in shock. I wish I had complained but I was too sick to do anything about it. Fortunately I did get help and support from other doctors. Mostly those with fibromyalgia really know what it’s like.
My name is Ellen. I am from Indiana. I am 73 years old. I was diagnosed 7 years ago.
I was put on Hydrowychloriquine and the pain went away. It made4 eno sense. Then, about a year ago, it came roaring back at a level I could barely handle. My quality of life was horrible. I could only do a fraction of what I once did.
Then I was put on prednisone for a lung problem and was pain free in 24 hours and stayed that way for a few weeks after. Then I was back to the horrid pain. I was recently put on it for a rash. Again the pain went away immediately. I talked to my doctor about it and he is willing to put me a low dose of prednisone every two months.
I won't say it doesn't worry me a bit but I need to be able to take care of myself. I am a whole different person on it.
I am glad to have found this site.

Have you tried Entourage Hemp sleep caps?
Teresa 68 years old, diagnosed 7 years ago, from New York - taking LDN 4 mg, it helps; duloxetine, but after reading some of these am wondering if I should switch to Effexor, heard that is good for anxiety and depression; I have such hip pain now and am gaining weight since I can't walk my 2 mile hill climb anymore - thought the pain was from the hills, but can it be further advancing fibro? don't want to gain anymore weight, what is causing this? The pain in my elbows, wrists, and hands - also fibro? So confused. Still working 4 days a week, and getting more tired and less socially active. And to the entourage Hemp suggestions, have you tried the sleep caps???
Any suggestions are most welcome!
God bless all of us, let's continue to help one another here
