Stage 2 A , breast cancer. How bad is that ?

Posted by Glori @elvandi, Jun 27, 2017

My breast cancer lump was removed, it was invasive ductal carcinoma in stage 2A, with 100% positive Estrogen receptor (which I was told is good, as it can be treated with medication). What is the survivor rate for this stage of cancer ? Anyone gone thru this stage and can advise me ? Right now I am worried.

The stage of cancer tells you the size of the tumor. The range is stage 1 to stage 4. The grade tells you how aggressive jt is, ranging from grade 1 to grade 3.. Stage 2a tells you your tumor is less than 5 cm, and has not gone into your lymph nodes or any other part of your body. Mine was stage 2, grade 3. They told me I was an easy fix. Ask your providers, they know your particular case better than anyone.

Good information. How are you doing now, after surgery ? Do you get regular CT scans or X-rays to make sure it has not spread ?.
