How can a person have palpitations for months before a monitor becomes available? My cardio told me last month they were are all out until June. I feel like I'll be dead by then.

@dcypherzzz Best strategy in that case would be to present at your local ER and tell them your heart is pounding. They'll immediately hook you up to an ECG. You can tell them who your cardiologist is, and they'll ensure he gets your record. From there, a monitor would likely be moot, but I don't know your cardiologist.
