I had a kidney transplant and we stayed at Brentwood Inn & Suites. It is connected underground. Surgery was at the Methodist Hospital. Faster to get to blood draw first thing in morning every day for a month. Naps between appointments. Not a fancy place but we were going for location. The transplant house has 'rules' to follow and too many people/germs for our comfort level. Find out which hospital the surgery is at first and then go from there. You'll be too tired for the shuttles and waiting for them. All the best

@pinkpam, We have stayed at the Brentwood because of its location. It is not fancy, but it has what we need for a couple day visit. We were always humbled at the number of wheelchairs parked outside of the rooms! There is nothing better than that undergorund connection, espesially on a rainy, windy, or snowy morning!
We stayed at the Gift ofLife Transplant House for 11 weeks in 2009 before, during, and after my transplant. We also stayed there for my annual visits for quit a several years. We absolutely love the cleanliness, and the protocol (rules) for promoting a germ free atmosphere for all of the residents. For us being with other patients and feeling their support was a treasure because we were 750 miles away from home.

I wonder if we ever crossed paths and didn't know it!
