@gailfaith, I do not know what limitations you have. Are you aware that there are wheelchairs available, at no cost, for patients to use to go to appointments? When I needed one, my husband would push it. There are volunteers available if you want someone to push it for you.

thanks for you reply @rosemarya. Yes I even used the wheelchairs at Mayo and was pushed by volunteers. As soon as I sent my note, I realized I should have mentioned that also, but didn't. 20-20 hindsight! @gailfaith
I like the Gonda atrium. At Mayo in Rochester. It is quiet when no one is playing the piano. Although the piano music is soothing too. Plus it’s a great place to people watch.
At the end of the Hall of benefactors in the subway level of the Siebens building is quiet and comfy.
19th floor Mayo, great view, quiet, etc
Hi @patrick1000. Isn’t it just fabulous up there in the Mayo building?!! I spent many restful moments on 18 and 19. The view is unparalleled. Thank you for sharing your quiet zone in the Clinic! May I ask what brought you to Mayo. Were you there for medical care or are you a caregiver for someone?
Started visiting in February 2020 for medical help and have returned several times since. Always fonf something new and interesting. Had found a storefront that displayed various assembled body parts which may be similar to what surgeons use but have not been able to relocate it.
Patrick, I wonder if you’re talking about Mayo Clinic Heritage Hall. It’s off the Matthews Grand Lobby on the first floor of the Mayo Building.
Here’s a link to the page and virtual tour of Mayo Clinic Heritage Hall, rich in history of the Clinic. Maybe you can check it out on your next visit! https://history.mayoclinic.org/tours-events/mayo-clinic-heritage-hall/
Thankyou! Will do for sure.
The patient education center in the siebens building subway level has a life size see thru person with all the insides visible. Also a great place to relax and read stuff.
