Hey I am going through the same thing.
As if someone has turn down the brightness setting of my eyes.

I've been fighting glaucoma for about 40 years now, and have been on pilocarpine eye drops for a long time. They will constrict your pupils and make everything darker. I have to shine a bright light on things I want to read. There may be other drops that do this. Let me know if this helps?
