Nothing has helped…….
I have been suffering for 10 years and have tried most everything. Searching the web I recently found Dr. Hauser at Caring Medical in Ft.Myers FL . His clinic believes BMS relate to the Vagus Nerve in the neck and that they can help with prolotherapy, but do not take insurance and the starting price is $3000 !!!
I don’t know what to think about this Prolotherapy Treatment ??
Has anyone had any success with this treatment??

If you go to a cervical chiropractor that does gentle realignments that will help as misalignment in the C-spine can put pressure on the vagus nerve, especially if you default to a forward head posture

My BMS started 3.25 years ago when I had COVID (again). This was the first time I took
Paxlovid for COVID. My BMS seems to have improved, but not cured. Wish I could take Paxlovid for BMS to see if it’s related but, of course, it’s not approved for that. I have started using fluoride-free toothpaste and try not to drink water with fluoride in it, and that might be another factor for lessened burning pain. Maybe there will be more research for a cure.

Found relief
I have been on Valacyclovir for 10 years and have had flare ups for both my BMS and BVS. After a bad bacterial infection and several antibiotics prescriptions, I was told to start taking daily Aloe Vera juice but to my surprise it has helped about 75% + relief with both my Burning mouth syndrome and my burning vulva syndrome. I hope this can help someone else.

There are many causes of burning mouth syndrome. The best way to attempt to determine the cause is to eliminate potential irritants such as toothpastes, mouthwashes and unnecessary medications and supplements. For example Listerine mouthwash can be very irritating. Another rare culprit can be certain pine nuts which can contain an irritating type of fat.
The process of elimination “may” help determine the cause.
