Has anyone experienced Post Diverticulitis IBS?

I have been sick for about a year and a half. I have had 5 diverticulitis flares during this time resulting in an 85 lb. weight loss. With the help of my pcp and 3 GI doctors, we have ruled out cancer and colon damage (colonoscopy), parasites, Celiac Disease, Crohn's Disease, Gastroparesis, mold sensitivity, and Lupus. I spend 2-3 days per week on a liquid diet just trying to survive. I have worked with a registered dietician to discover IBS and low Fodmap options but there has to be a better way to live.

Having 5 diverticulitis flare ups in a year and a half is sad. The sad part is it will keep happening. Not sure of your age or health but, has your colon Dr. talked to you about surgery?

It is very sad. I will turn 57 in May and other than these GI issues, I'm pretty healthy. I did have a GI doctor who wanted to do surgery but at that point I hadn't even had a colonoscopy yet. After the colonoscopy, a different GI doctor said there was no need for surgery (no damaged tissue in the colon) so that changed that trajectory. I am struggling to find any answers even after the colonoscopy. I thought that would give me all of the answers, but unfortunately it made it more mysterious.

@badbelly I still think you need to see a colon/rectal surgeon. They did not realize how much scar tissue I had until my surgery.
