Anyone have Metastatic Small Cell Carcinoma of likely prostate origin?
Metastatic Small Cell
Carcinoma of likely prostate origin. Diagnosed June 2025. Did 6 rounds of chemo: Carboplatin, Etoposide, and Neulasta Onpro. I am on Lynparza (olaparib) started with 300mg twice a day but now on 150mg two times a day. I am BRACA2 mutated. Last pet scan 3 weeks ago results was: No metabolic evidence of active neoplasm. Stage IV any support will help.

Small cell prostate cancer can be also called neuroendocrine in some cases. Neuroendocrine prostate cancer is frequently treated with carboplatin which you seem to have been treated with. There are not a lot of treatments for neural endocrine prostate cancer but if you just have the other type that is called Small cell it’s a different situation.
The PSMA pet scan cannot see Neuroendocrine cancer in its later stages. It does not produce PSMA. You have to do an FDG PET scan in order to see neuroendocrine prostate cancer.
I really fear getting Neuroendocrine prostate cancer. It can turn into that After many years. I know a couple of people that have been treated for it, and there is not much in the way of treatments. You frequently want to get into one of the clinical trials that’s going on.

4 Reactions@mpeny, as you likely know, small cell carcinoma of the prostate (SCCP) is a rare type of cancer. I'm tagging fellow members neville44 @dpfbanks, who may have experiences to share.
How are you doing on olaparib? How are you doing generally?
