Your OP says that you get this dizzying/falling feeling about an hour after taking the BP med/s. You don't say how long the feeling lasts. Does it come on quickly and pass after a bit or does it linger until bedtime? If it lingers then maybe your doc should take you off of it. Do you feel the same way when you get up during the night to answer nature's call? If the feeling like you're going to fall is short term than it would behoove you to take it at bedtime. I was taking all of my BP meds at bedtime since if they make you sleepy then you just sleep through the unpleasant effects. I've never been in a position where I couldn't wake up to pee.

I've had times when I get up to pee where I feel a little unsteady on my feet. Lately after I take my nighttime BP meds I get this weird feeling like a shock is going through me. Maybe it's from the Metoprolol, but I can't picture it getting into my system that fast. I also take Lasix and disasteride with it. Could be the disasteride is potentiating the action of the Metoprolol or Lasix. Regardless I find it somewhat unpleasant.

@bajjerfan I personally don’t have the problem(other than shortly after open CRC surgery), but have heard from others, who have great concerns about dizzy-unstable feelings, whether from meds or chemo…or muscle weakness, shaky bones, etc. sorry if my posts were unclear.
