I had left total knee replacement on 17/2/2026. Pain at night has been tough, poor sleep etc.
I find moving helps relieve the pain with ice. My meds are paracetamol now and I take pre exercise and minimal relief. From my research on knee replacements, tightening can last for a long time. I'm pushing ahead with the physio exercises and getting my walks 10 mins three times per day. The stationary bike also once a day for 10 mins this week. Hope this helps.

Hi Jo,
Thanks for taking the time to respond. You had your surgery one day before me, so this should be very helpful for both of us.

I'm having lots of swelling in my left foot still. I elevate frequently, but this aggrevates my thigh. The tourniquet left a painful hematoma on my thigh. This is what bothers me most. Did you have anything like that?
