I am 63, does PSA increase with age? My last reading 2 months ago was 5.3. Should I be concerned?

PSA by age
< 40 2.0
40-49 2.5
50-59 3.5
60-69 4.5
70-79 6.5

Yours is quite high for your age. This could be due to a large prostate or BPH or prostate cancer.

@hlp723 What was it previously…and when?
Anything over 4.0 is suspect according to current guidelines.
If you want to avoid the usual rigmarole of finger poking, MRI and biopsy see if you can get a PSE test -it is highly accurate in showing the presence of cancer.
Your PCP and Uro may balk but if you contact the company who makes the test they will be able to send info.
