D3+K2 Recommendation Please
Could someone please recommend a good D3+K2 supplement without synthetic ingredients?
I have read that plant based is best and those that use lichen and chickpeas.
Has anyone used one from Thorne or Sports Research?
What is the recommended dosage? I have seen high doses like 5,000-10,000 iu of D3 in many of the brands and I would not want to take that much, especially in addition to the amount in my multi- vitamin.
I am 73 and have progressed from osteopenia to osteoporosis in some areas most likely due to taking Anastrazole for the past 2 1/2 years for breast cancer. I stopped taking calcium supplements and I am trying to get it through food instead.

There is an app called SuppCo that can help you with that. I like Nordic Naturals but sometimes it’s had to find D3/K2. I am using ZHOU gummies right now. I have also used Sports Research. It’s tough to find the dosage you what so you have to be creative.

1 Reaction@beachbabe I am about to begin taking AlgaeCal "Plus" which includes calcium, D3, and K2. Together with AlgaeCal's "Strontium Boost," the combination is AlgaeCal's "Bone Builder Pack," for which they guarantee an increase in bone density in 6 months (on DEXA scan), if taken as directed. You can purchase the AlgaeCal Plus separately. Their products are plant sourced and manufactured in the US. I suspect others in this forum have tried AlgaeCal supplements? A friend of mine increased her bone density considerably by taking the Bone Builder Pack so I've decided to give it a try.

2 ReactionsYes. Anastrozole is taking its toll on me, too, and I’ve only been on it for 3 months! I’m disappointed that my oncologist did not worn me sbout this and/or didn’t set up a plan to support bones that goes beyond a pill!! She was me taking Fosamax once a week. I don’t think that alone will do the job so I’m investing in PT which includes water therapy in the pool.

My oncologist recommended Zometa infusions every 6 months for 3 years and I flat out refused to do that or take any other bisphosphonates. I wish I didn't have to take the Anastrazole but too afraid to stop it. Alternatively she suggested switching to Tamoxifen and there's no way I would take that. So here I am trying to get by using natural means.
I hope the PT helps you.

1 Reaction@beachbabe I sense that many of us are questioning the protocol. Perhaps we are of a generation that are willing to challenge rather than quietly accept! That’s a good thing!

1 Reaction@jojo345 This is very encouraging. Thanks for sharing about the bone builder pack.
I am very reluctant to use medication. Would rather do exercise which includes muscle building and use supplements.
