Has anyone experienced leg pain while taking Orgovyx?
I am 77 in good health except for PC, my PSA was 27.4, Gleason score 4+4=8, and decipher score was .84. I am into my 5th month of Orgovyx and completed my 28 IMRT radiation treatments last month. Since completing radiation treatment my first PSA level was < 0.08 and testosterone level was < 20. So far it seams like everything is heading in the right direction. I am doing weight resistance exercise daily for either upper body or legs. I have had some lower back pains that I treated with heating pad which helped. My worst problem now is I am having severe pain in the back my right leg where I was wounded in Vietnam from a 122mm rocket. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced leg pain while taking Orgovyx or could it just be I am experiencing some muscle loss which is causing the pain in the area of the wound.

I have these problems with pain in the joints and started taking gabapentin. I’ve tried stopping it a couple of times, tapering off, but when I get the dose I’m on reduced by half my joints start to hurt again.
I take 600 mg three times a day. You might find that 100 or 200 works in the beginning. Ask your doctor if you can try it, If it makes sense for you. It’s also supposed to help with hot flashes, though I’ve never really noticed that benefit, others have. It might be helping me and I just don’t realize it since I’m always on the drug and still get some hot flashes.

2 ReactionsThe prescribing information for Orgovyx has a section on Adverse Events:
I found an article published in late 2024 by authors who reviewed the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System to use clinical data obtained after the FDA approved the drug for widespread use, to summarize the side effects of Orgovyx as experience now shows. A conclusion:
"Common AEs included Hot flush, Fatigue, Asthenia, Constipation, and Myalgia. These AEs should be focused on when using the drug to avoid serious consequences."
Myalgia is muscle pain.

I wrote my medical oncologist who is supervising my ADT to ask him if he thought my muscle pain starting at the hip and involving the entire front of my thigh could be due to Orgovyx. He dismissed the idea and said it was probably arthritis at the hip.

1 ReactionI have only been on Orgovyx for three months. It gives me more joint pain but manageable and I get a lot of muscle cramping. My biggest problem with it is emotional. I am going to be on it for 3 more months and will be getting radiation for prostate cancer reoccurrence.
I too have been on Orgovyx for a few months. I have noticed some muscle pains in my hip, and back, and more muscle spasms and emotional moments too. I remain convinced my strict diet and the gym is the best daily solution for my long term life care. Adding in some deliberate 15 minute sessions in the steam room too.
Orgovyx for 3 months prior & after. Most problems started 2 months after radiation, Found I lost some ability to feel if my bladder & stool were full until they reached a threshold. So started to do "check bathroom runs" helped with bladder control! Had to stay on low bulk diet longer then stated, But slow recovery! Photon rad 30 days, lost some arm & belly hair! Trade major problem for minor!!
Within the first two weeks of my six month Orgovyx regime, I experienced strange shin pain. It was not from any injury or physical exercise. It resolved itself in about 3-5 days and never returned. I did experience some weight gain (+/- 7 lbs.), random emotional periods, and intermittent fatigue particular on the golf course on very warm days. Fortunately, I never experienced any hot flashes or other ADT side effects
