I had a lung resection. It was a minimally invasive procedure. The recovery was not bad or long. I never did have a cough or any symptoms. The nodule was removed because it was found on an MRI and it looked like it was cancer. However, it was biopsied and determined that it contained mycobacteria. So I am currently being followed for non-tuberculosis, mycobacteria disease. I still have no symptoms so we are currently just watching and getting low-dose CT scans every six months. I am curious to know if there is anyone else in this situation..

@vlw452 and to @softballqueen I have bronchiactasis. Never had a cough. I had nocardia back in 2019 was treated lengthy 2 antibiotics at the same time . Clear of that. Developed few other bacterium which cleared. Then mac came and nodule upper left lung 2022. Nodule kept growing . In 2024 it was questionable cancer. I wasn't waiting for it to even have a chance to spread or grow bigger. It was about 15mm. I had a second opinion at thorasic . It was determined to be cancer so i rushed to have an upper lobe resection. Easy surgery for me. Robotic is great. Nothing more had to be done . On next testing mac gone has been gone . Determined im clear . Probably was situated near nodule. But now I grew psuedanomas Aerigenosa. One more mountain to climb. Bronchiactisis is a progressive disease , I have developed one thing after another year after year. Its a difficult disease to have as it progresses.
