Favorite saying

My wife and I were having a discussion and we came to a mutually satisfying agreement. I was reminded of this saying: “A good understanding is like the ‘whistle’ and the whistle always blows on time.” ( the “whistle” in reference here is the old fashioned factory whistle: the whistle starts the work day, blows for lunch, and blows again to end the work day, and the whistle is always on time)

..gosh another one from my childhood: sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me.... (as my Mum used to say to me many years ago when another child said mean things)
