Has anyone here NOT gained weight from Forteo or Tymlos?

Hi,
I just started taking a teriparatide medication yesterday and now I'm kind of freaking out as I read all reports from people who have gained lots of weight from these medications. Has anyone here not gained weight as a result of teriparatide?

I didn't gain any weight after two years on Tymlos.

@sebutler thank-you. It's been a huge worry!

Had lots of trouble with Tymlos, and had to switch to Forteo, but neither of them has caused any weight gain. Best wishes for your success.

I too am having a bad time with Tymlos (also without weigh gain -- just more visible blubber on my belly in the front). Did Forteo help lessen your side effects?

@mamabear77 thank-you! So far the side effects have been tolerable and only last for 5 or 6 hours so I'm still able to have a bit of a life!

@cbusgma2017 I wonder if maybe it's just inflammation from all the injections, or at least partially.

I have actually lost weight - about 5 pounds. I started Tymlos on January 15th. My side effects were small headaches and bloating (at least that's what they call it). Not every day but several times a week. My stomach felt hard and I don't have a normal appetite. I'm eating anyway and using Cronometer to track my calcium and protein because I'm also doing strength training three times a week. I do have some belly fat, certainly enough to pinch for the shot! but all in all I feel pretty good and the side effects are subsiding. No more headaches, my stomach doesn't hurt as often and I've even had a couple hunger pangs in the past week.

@cbusgma2017 I definitely have added some belly fat, but idk if it's from the injections or just that my lifestyle has changed, in addition to coinciding with having hit age 65 when I started Tymlos.
