Voltaren gel
My wife has chronic pain in her hip and hamstring. MRI negative. Physical Therapy no help. Acupuncture no help. Is Voltaren gel safe to try? I read it can cause liver damage.

Thanks Susan. I was introduced to BioFreeze about 15 years ago and have use it ever since. I have chronic, low back stiffness and use the aerosol version and it works great!

3 ReactionsHi @behappy2,
BioFreeze and lidocaine patches work well on large areas of skin, like the back. Otherwise, all the patches tend to roll up due to the countours of the body.
They can always be cut to smaller sizes to accommodate a joint like the ankle, I think......

Can you tell me which CBD topical your Dr suggested?
What is active ingredient in Voltaren?
Diclofenac Sodium is a non-steroidal anti inflammatory NSAID which is what is in Volatren at I believe 1%. NSAIDS are Aspirin, Motril, Advil & Aleve....which I cannot take.
I have used Voltaren Gel for a while for my pain. I do not use it every day. My levels in my bloodwork are still good.
I hope this helps. Blessings & Prayers....

Interesting that your doctor took you off. Did you have any blood test abnormalities that led to this? I’ve used it on and off for years.
@chierem, welcome. I'm tagging @cutshaw01 to make sure they see your question.
