Hello everyone over the past year I have have been having problems .im not sure how to phrase it. I have often been sick in the morning and tablets or food getting stuck in my throat. A few of these times I when I was about to be sick. I have had not very nice experience my wife tells me my eyes roll back in my head and I start shaking as if I was having a small fit. I don't remember and it only lasts about a minute or so.and it's a bit worrying .a nurse said it might be a vagus nerve. I've been to the ent clinic they couldn't see anything so they are going to send for a barium meal swallow xray. I have two endoscopy. Recently and they say my food is not digesting .so think now they are making a appointment to see a doctor at the gastro clinic. I will leave it at that.but anybody got any advice on what the short passing out could be. Thank you so much charlie.

I have had all the different tests, as I have a sore throat and difficulty swallowing. I had swallow study, gastric emptying study, saw a throat specialist, seen ENT Dr's. I do have a hiatal hernia and a nodule on my thyroid, which may be causing the swallowing issues and sore throat. I have a follow up appointment with ENT soon. At times, I do feel like something is stuck in my throat. I burp a lot and have choked a few times on pills or steak/tough food. I've had the barium study too, everything turned up normal for me. In addition, I have dry mouth, so I take medication for that. Endoscopies are good, I have had those also. I have acid reflux and gastroparesis. I have issues with my brain and memory and confusion, my hippocampus is getting smaller, your brain storage area. That could contribute toward difficulty swallowing. There was a lot of tests and it was so frustrating! I am hoping thru more tests with the ENT, that I will figure out and the Dr. figures out what is going on with me. I hope your Dr's figure out what is going on with you. Keep us updated on you, thanks!

@animallover25 stress could play a part in difficulty swallowing. Have you tried swallowing food, medications, liquids etc. with your head down? It works for me. I have a problem swallowing beef, pork and white meat (e.g. chicken breast) and avoid them, but on occasions when I have to eat any of these meats I swallow them with my head down.

So sorry for your scary symptoms. I have EOE or Eosinophilic esophagitis. You might look it up. Sounds like your esophagus has narrowed.
Take care.

@rashida hi Rashida going on what I have been reading on here now.it could well be.i have never feinted before so I didn't connect it. I have asked doctors here and they honestly did not seem interested. So I will now wait and see the gastric doctor and see what he says. Because it is getting worse
And thank you for your reply Rashida.
