Best location for estradiol patch
I've just started with the menostar patch which at 14 mcg is ultra low dose. I'd like to absorb every bit possible! I'm been using my lower abdomen but wonder if upper outer buttock would provide better absorption?

@tillymack I can’t remember if she said why, but the logic to me is that you are giving the skin a chance to rest before you cover it with the adhesive for another week.

1 ReactionI always put it in the front of my lower abdomen, because the one time I tried it on the back it fell off. It helps if I can see it and know that it's there.

2 Reactions@wondering1 That makes perfect sense especially if you change the patch twice a week.
I also rotate on each upper buttock. I will move it around an inch or two so it’s not always in the exact same spot. I tried the abdomen but it came off once so I stick with the buttock. I make sure it is not near any panty line elastic so there is no chance of it coming off. They really stick well.
