@ihatediabetes - good to hear you are doing better little by little and training for a 5K. That is really great.

I did notice skin conditions here in the Complications section on Mayo Clinic's information on diabetes, https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/diabetes/symptoms-causes/syc-20371444, so it makes sense you'd wonder about the connection. Glad to hear they are not skin cancer. Is the antibiotic cream helping the skin sores on your legs?

@mell - are you having any side effects other than the bloating with the Metformin extended tabs? Is the bloating manageable?

I am at 6.7 for my a1c so I thought I was doing well. But then I got these sores or lesions. And they hurt too. So the dermatologist resident told me to put bacitracin oitment on them. It has helped that I have been trying to run. I do think exercise helps my skin. I also wonder about menopause and hormones and what that does to skin. That happened to me too recently. Menopause and type 2 diabetes.
