Diverticulosis: Any herbs help?

What helps as far as "herbs" for diverticulosis?

@linda82 thank you, I actually have primary Dr appt tomorrow for follow up of another issue, I’ll ask for bloodwork form, I didn’t have fever this past weekend but I do want to know wbc reading. Colon dr would that be gastroenterologist? You said chamomile and peppermint were your go to teas, does that mean you no longer have episodes? If so it gives me hope. Did you drink those teas together or separately during episodes or daily teas? Do you recommend daily Metamucil at bedtime? When I first got diagnosed I was having Metamucil almost daily, I got gassy and bloated more often so I cut back. Then I switched to mineral oil which helps but I just want to find that maintenance routine that’ll help consistently. I need to be more mindful of what I eat, I’m good for most part during week but some weekends I fall off track sometimes with snack or meal and sometimes gas city with some pain. My own doing that I need to stop.

@piscesemr Gastrologist is a good idea… beware that Metamucil can back things up sometimes…if you are stopped up any length of time, it’s best not to pack in too much fiber…you can add it when you are back on track.wish you luck !

@linda82 yes, gentle herb teas can be a help and green tea is a good one as well.
