I had the Abbot stimulator implanted in December. I had some success with the trial and hoped it would also help once the permanent one was in. I had it done for 2 different issues, one was SFN and the other was an issue with pain radiating into my leg from my spine (similar to sciatica but a different nerve).
So far I have not had much success at all. The reps at Abbott are great and I’m working through the various programs to try to find the magic one that helps. I do better when it’s set at lower settings and increased very gradually. But there’s no significant relief yet.
