It actually did. He walked to the nurses station to get his b/p checked. It was within normal limits. He said he felt better and remembered about his medication , because I had said he was probably having anxiety because he was scared. He took small deep breaths and realized he felt better. He said he was lucky he had me to reassure him. Of course he knows I would never let him leave his bed without calling the nurses if I thought he was in danger. I already was sure he was fine..but it is better for him to know he was in control. Especially when he has been through so much since Jan. Sometimes having a little control over your decisions builds strength, self awareness and feeling of something positive in the end. We talked for a little while. He was getting drowsy and he said he would see me tomorrow. We exchanged some private conversations and then hung up the phone. I knew he felt safe for now. I had stayed home today as I was exhausted and needed a much needed rest.
