@jgl I posted here back in the spring after seeing an optometrist who said I had narrow angles and had to get LPI or else and referred me to a laser surgeon who told me that, yes, I had narrow angles and should have it done ASAP or else. I had read a bit about narrow versus closed angles before seeing this laser surgeon , so when he said "narrow", I was relieved and told him I was glad they were narrow and not closed. Right then, he changed his answer to "No, they are closed" I was scared and ready to get the LPI done. When I got home, I went online and I came across this thread, and doubt kicked in. I wasn't having the symptoms I was supposed to be having due to narrow angles. I have since then, seen 3 additional eye doctors. All 3 have said my angles have some mild narrowing, but nothing to be concerned about. One of them described it as maybe 3 out of 10 narrowing.
I am just so disgusted with how the first eye doctor/laser surgeon tried to scare me into doing LPI by lying that my angles were closed. Just be careful to get confirmation when someone tells you something. Unfortunately, integrity is not a given just because someone has a medical license. Being at risk for an angle closure attack is very serious, and I was very concerned. I still am to some degree, being watchful in case. I am taking a supplement called "Eye Pressure Support" by Life Extensions. My pressure is staying around 16 to 17, down from 18 - 19, and I don't have the blurry vision anymore since I have been taking it. All the best.
