I am totally afraid of taking prescription drugs for neuropathy or anything else for that matter. It seems these drugs might address one problem only to create another. And, I agree with you that working remedies are hard to identify in that we experience pain differently and there are so many other factors involved including diet, one's health, exercise and weather, to name a few. I had a shin shave biopsy 11 weeks ago and I still have pain there. I like to walk but I seem to pay a price for it--perhaps it is tissue inflammation. My neuropathy has also become more intense than it was before the shin surgery. I have a weak back due to degenerative disc disease and since I have been more focused on treating the shin, my back pain is returning. The most I will take is some tylenol. I wish the shin pain would resolve. I am going to see a physiatrist this week. Other doctors have not been so helpful thus far.

I find class IVlaser therapy has helped me tremendously. I had to receive treatment several times weekly for first month or so before it made major difference. I have to get the therapy at least 2 to 3 times month to maintain. Not a permanent cure for me but it has changed my life and eliminated the pain
