I am suffering too from leg shin pain. A few weeks ago there was discussion on here that I am looking into in regard to fluoroquinolone antibiotics which is the basis of several antibiotics including Levaquin and cipro. I have taken both about five to seven years ago. These antibiotics do have the side affects of tendon and muscle pain even years later. There is a class action suit against the company which I think is Johnson and Johnson. I had never heard of the problem with fluoroquinolone antibiotics before. The gal posting had severe leg pain and several of the replies also had the same problem. You could get a start on your research by doing an AI CoPilot with Microsoft or an AI inquiry with Google Gemini. Or a plain search with Google. So much information out there, that I can't believe I had not heard about it before. I believe my leg pain is my tendons, because I raised the tension on my exercise bicycle. I realized a couple weeks later that might be the problem because my feet do not hurt, just my legs. I had tendonitis 20/25 years ago in my left arm and the pain feels the same. I have just started looking into this and have not discussed it thoroughly with a pain doctor. But, will soon. It seems that regular doctors have not heard of the fluoroqinolone after affects. Maybe there should be a permanent post here on Mayo Connect, because it does seem wide spread.

Mine are both legs waist down all way to toes, problem is they can figure it out and body is offsetting the problem to walk which is another issue the physio said. I have been researching and reading so much, April will be 2 yrs of medical MRI’s with and without contrast, ultrasounds, blood test, CT scans with and without, PET showed abnormal cells though.
