@ginger123 May I ask what kind of injection is planned -- an epidural (cortisone) or some other medication that is autoinflammatory in nature? Thanks! (I have lower back issues with compressed vertebrae and bulging disks, plus scoliosis that give me weakness in my legs, same on the left leg as the right. Surgeon suggests implanting metal rods in my back, with a year long recovery period. I'm a 78 year old male. I don't like the way that looks, want some alternatives.

@laughlin1947 I think it’s going to be a hip injection with a steroid and lidocaine. Another possibility is PRP therapy. Might ask about that….. it’s using your own blood, and they spin the platelets out, and reinject into the problem area.

@laughlin1947 I had an epidural, both sides of L5,S1. Going back this week for consult because of continued leg and knee pain. Never had knee pain before…. Doctor said if L5 injection didn’t take care of it, she may do an L4 shot. I also have left hip and groin pain, so it’s frustrating, and wish they’d find the source of pain…..
