84 here. Neuro issue. Gabapentin 1100mg daily. Minimal relief. Have found 1/2mg klonopin aids in sleep and relieves nighttime pain. Good night sleep!

3 ReactionsRecent new therapy for me yet only neuro pain at night has been sharp though brief pain in left heel. So far so good. No daytime pain at all.
Like you, my neuropathy seems worse at night. I was getting burning heel pain in leg that had shin shave biopsy. No help from advil. Now I am doing some feet massage and picking up marbles to exercise my toes. Since I started doing that routine, the burning heel seems to be gone. It could also be due to the weather changes--severe temperatures from winter in NYC may be over now. My physical therapist claims that the pain we feel at night might be due to evolutionary factors--eons ago we were busy hunting during the day--no time to focus on pain but at night we were less distracted and became more pain-aware. I did try Lidocaine with blue emu and got some small relief from that.

2 ReactionsThe burning heel pain was back again last night. Now I believe it is due to my overdoing exercise while trying to heal from the shin shave biopsy that I had back in late December. I also get some nerve zings during the day. Before the biopsy my neuropathy was under control and I hardly noticed that I had it. Now I deal with both pain at the shave biopsy site and my feet. Doctors seem reluctant to do any imaging. I guess its a long healing process=all for a lesion that was benign to begin with. I am angry and anxious over this. For now, I will have to be very careful with exercising so that I do not overdo it. I will pretend that I am a ball player who is out for the entire season. Any suggestions are welcomed

1 ReactionI’ve started using frankincense balm at night rubbed on my foot and leg seems to be helping so far. I get it from vitality online.
@arcuri24 have found that over exercise is factor in evening and next day pain. Generally less difficult exercise less pain. When I use light weights and non weight leg exercises plus planks… and add 1/2gram klonopin…no day or night pain. Good luck
