I have been prescribed eye drops such as LATANAPROST; NOW TIMOLOL MALEATE for eye pressure
I seem to have extreme fatigue, depression ,tiredness; and chills at times also
should I go off these, or are there other solutions to this condition??

Welcome @tonyfanm We are just patients like yourself and cannot diagnose or give medical advice. I don't think I would stop taking any of my medications without first consulting my doctor.

Have you talked with your doctor about your symptoms?

@tonyfan Hi jsut to say I have been using a form of Latanaprost since diagnosis of "normal pressure glaucoma" with narrow angles, since 2018... mine has no preservatives and is called Monoprost. I also use dry eye drops. There definitely are side effects with most eye drops and quite a bit of info on Internet but I agree that it is not wise to go off any of them without consulting a doctor or Ophthalmologist.. whoever gave you thepresdcription.. I was told not to stop mine for even one evening. I did read about a patient who had depression while on Latanoprost and it went away when he changed but nothing about this in Canada or USA news.... meds in eyes can affect us so hopefully you can find the one drop with least side effects .

@tonyfan ....curious after reading your post as I worry too... and agree no one can diagnoze here and I am just agreeing never to stop glaucoma eyedrops without checking with the prescriber.... but I recall when Dr.Trope from Toronto Western Hospital, head of Glaucoma Dept, told my local optometrsit not to give me a certain drop due to my history of depression but I cant for the life of me remember which one (2018 and he has retired and i dont have same optom) I just checked Internet and you can read for yourself that Timolal and Betaxolol "can" cause depression fatigue and even confusion in older adults. Please contact yuour eye dr as there are other eyedrops, and there could be an alternative which suits your body better... unfortunately we cannot let the eye pressure climb... bestof luck
