@christy89 Achromobacter Xylosoxidans infection in any healthy person is rare, it is usually limited to those with underlying conditions like Cystic Fibrosis. However, it is not uncommon in the environment, so it does appear from time to time in cultures. It becomes concerning if it invades beyond the outer ear, so it is wise to see an otolaryngologist (ENT) or Infectious Disease specialist if your child has chronic ear infections, or has had tubes in the ears.
