@marcd2k Hi! Thank you for your comments. Your situation sounds very similar, if not exactly the same. He did have lumbar surgery 2 years ago. Nerve pain, which did not exist prior to surgery, is a symptom he's dealing with on a daily basis. He is also currently on Lyrica which gives him some relief. He would like to get off of it due to some of the side effects. He is trying other options for pain management such as Calmare Treatment, which interrupts pain signals. We'll see how that works! Good luck to you. Back pain is so complex. I'm finding Mayo connect helpful to me as spouse supporting him with these pain challenges. Your wife may want to check it out! Thanks again for your reply!

@landrew62 You are very welcome. I have shown my wife this site, and we are looking everywhere we can to try and find someone that has any idea what my medical issues are. I understand your husband wanting to get off medication, and I have been off of everything they had prescribed over the past 3 months since January. If I can do anything without prescriptions, that's what I try first.

I will certainly post my pain management plan in April. Thanks for welcoming me to the group.

Hi, I am Dixie and I had a Fusiom a year ago February. Last April pain started in legs and lower back. Now it’s all over my body. After X-rays, CT Scans, MRI, injections the pain only gets worse. Blood work recently only showed anemia. Hydrocodone is how I go each day. Nobody can get me to the right doctor.

@dixiekidd76 Hello Dixie, I had Lumbar Fusion surgery about 4 months ago. My nerve/leg pain started about 2 weeks after the surgery. You didn't mention if you have tried anything besides the Hydrocodone for the pain. I was prescribed Lyrica, 75mg, 3-times per day, and within 2 days there was a big difference in the pain level, and after a week, the pain was gone and I was sleeping really well.

@a757contrail Hello, Todd. Have you had recent surgery that is causing your pain? Or did you just have pain in your legs you are trying to figure out? The reason I'm asking is I had spine surgery about 4 months ago, and after two weeks I had intense leg pain that kept me awake all night. I was prescribed Lyrica, 75mg, 3 times a day, and within 2 days it was noticeably less, and it was totally gone after the first week.

@marcd2k
I have not heard of this pain medication. I will ask my pain management doctor about it. I will try anything to stop this pain.
I will update when or if he will subscribe for me.
Thank you for sharing.
Dixie
